Salmonberry Trail Guided Hike - 3.5 Miles

Our volunteer leader from the Salmonberry Trail Foundation (STF) will guide us under a canopy of towering trees in the Tillamook State Forest, where old logging history meets lush rainforest, ferns, wildflowers, and the soothing sounds of nearby creeks. This will be a slow pace, learning experience. Distance is approximately 3.5 miles.

Getting to Reehers - Drive Highway 26 west (or east, depending on where you start) toward Timber Road (just past milepost 38). - Turn left (south) onto Timber Road, follow for 3 miles into the rural community of Timber. - Turn right (west) onto Cochran Road in Timber. - Reehers Camp is 2.2 miles down Cochran Road, a well-maintained gravel road. Drive slowly and respectfully through Timber. - Park at the Reehers Camp Day Use Area -- on the left past the campground. Restrooms are available at the parking area, and there is no fee to park, but it is day-use only—no overnight parking or camping allowed.
