Hi everyone! Let's go on a walk around the Woodstock neighborhood and take a look at some heritage trees. Heritage Trees are trees that have been placed on a registry to afford them a certain level of protection. The program was started in the 90's, and trees continue to be added.

We will start our walk at Woodstock Park on the corner of SE Steele and SE 47th Ave. We will meander around the neighborhood, including Reed College to view the trees. It looks like we will have around 10 trees to check out. They include 2 types of cedar, pecan, tulip, oak, yellowwood and an American Hornbeam, which I've never heard of before. We may also have time to visit the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden.

Meet at Woodstock Park at 10am to start our walk. After meandering for a while, we can go for food at Toast near the park.

Okay, c'mon out and get some exercise and make some friends and check out some cool trees!
