Just a Conditioning Hike: Herman Creek Plus!
Details
It's time to start conditioning for the summer and weather looks amazing this Saturday so let's get a good workout in! We will start up Herman Creek and then connect up the steep climb of Nick Eaton. We will go a bit further and take the cut off trail, Deadwood Trail and connect back down on Gorton Creek to make a loop. If people want, we can walk over to Indian Point for some gorge views.
Anticipate downed trees to climb over and some overgrowth, pants may be the best option. This will give us about 10 miles and 3200 feet of elevation gain.
Please make sure you are able to hike this more difficult route before signing up.

My Style:
My pace is 2-3 miles per hour depending on the trail conditions and steepness of the grade. Please make sure you are able to hike at this pace so that everyone in the group stays together and for everyone's safety. My goal is to get everyone through the hike without injury. If we all keep this in mind, we will have a great day.
Please make sure you bring the ten essentials in your pack, with plenty of water and snacks. Dress appropriately for the conditions of the day.
