Backpack to Cast Lake on Mt Hood

Let's go backpacking!! What?!? In May? Yup, things are melting out fast, so let's get out before fire season sets in. For this trip we are going for an overnight trip up to cast lake at around 4400 feet on the west side of Mt Hood. We will start at the Burnt Lake Trailhead North. Its somewhere in the vicinity of 6 miles to camp with about 1800 feet of gain. Please come prepared with all of your gear and food. We will meet at the trailhead at 10am to depart. For anyone wishing to camp on Friday, there is dispersed camping along Forest Road 1828, before you get to the gate on road 1825. At this point, I would prefer to camp on Friday night, and would really like someone to ride with me to save on gas $$$.
