DEEP REST and RESET-Stillness with The Presence Experiment
Details
We live in extraordinary times. When faced with the myriad challenges of life in 2025, how can we possibly create space for rest?
Yet, deep rest and stillness are more needed than ever. If we cannot allow ourselves to pause, to slow down, then we are lost. We become incapable of responding to Life from Presence. When we are ungrounded, the conditioned mind takes over. When the conditioned mind takes over, we no longer have any choice; we are on the hamster wheel again until a moment of grace reminds us of what we really are.
Come join us as we reset, together.
***
Rough timeline - 90 minutes:
Brief check-ins on where we're all arriving from, and what is present for us
Presence through movement sequence and guided meditation
One of our facilitators will speak on the monthly topic, and whatever else is arising (this will be recorded)
Open time for sharing on what resonated for us, what is challenging for us, and whatever else is arising for us in the moment.
Closing meditation
Note: you are not required to participate, but we do ask that you at least let us know your name and what brought you here in the chat when joining.
We'll then have time to hang out afterwards for anyone interested in continuing to talk

What is an Un-Doing Session?
We call these "Un-Doing" Sessions. So much of our lives is spend in doing. Even in "spiritual" activities, we find ourselves "doing" meditation, prayer, contemplation. Yet, so much of what blocks us from stillness is not the absence of the right kind of doing. It's that we haven't really paused.
This is easier said than done. That's why we call ourselves The Presence Experiment. Each of these gatherings is an experiment. Afterwards, we see what worked well to deepen Presence, what didn't, and we adjust. We ask that you bring an open and experimental mind. We aim to discover, together, what it is like to evoke rest and stillness, to reset.
To support an optimal environment for this unfolding, we have a few principles and guidelines:
1. Being over Doing: although we will be talking, our priority is always on the stillness from which words arise. For the 90 minute main duration, this means that our facilitators may gently interrupt or ring a bell if they feel anyone is getting too caught in mind energy. Please do not take this personally. Especially as we may occasionally get this wrong. If a bell rings, or a facilitator invites a conscious breath, we simply ask that we return to center, remember our primary intention, and then we can continue our conscious dialog.
2. Presence over Content: similar to #1, our focus here is not on giving you a great set of tips and tricks on Presence. We're all awash in wonderful spiritual and psychological material. Our aim here is instead to attempt to evoke this view, together. Not to share our knowledge. Thus, if you leave the session feeling it was not interesting, and you didn't learn anything, we've succeeded.
3. Experience over Advice: many of us are meeting each other for the first time. We ask that we share primarily our experience with Presence, and what is arising for us, rather than trying to fix one another's personal difficulties. If you're interested in hearing advice on a particular challenge, please let the group know, and we'll have time for more informal talking after the main 90 minute block is over.
