Details

“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”

In March, we'll be taking to the wonderful Greenwich Park & Blackheath to talk about all things Rumi!

Simply select the FIVE Rumi poems that resonate with you the most, and bring them along to share on the walk.

There are so many anthologies to choose from, so take your pick! A few possible options:

  • The Essential Rumi (Coleman Barks) – 416 pages
  • Rumi: Selected Poems (Penguin Classics, Coleman Barks) – 336 pages
  • The Spiritual Poems of Rumi (Nader Khalili) – 128 pages

“Be empty of worrying.
Think of who created thought!
Why do you stay in prison
When the door is so wide open?”

We'll be meeting at 13:00 at The Pavillion Café, in the heart of Greenwich Park, which is nearby to the Observatory. We will be setting off on our approximately 7-km walk at 13:30 on the dot.

Our walk will end at the riverside pub, The Trafalgar Tavern (booking request made for 16:00).

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

Can't wait to see you there!
