Thich Nhat Hanh, Thames Path (15 km)

Details
After a short sabbatical, the Rambling Book Club returns this autumn with a dose of Eastern wisdom from the wonderful Thich Nhat Hanh.
Our principal text will be Peace is Every Step, which we encourage you to read ahead of the walk. Supplementary (optional) reads include How to Love and – very fittingly – How to Walk.
As always, we welcome those with a dual love of walking and literature/philosophy. The space we aim to create is one of open, non-judgemental, creative and tangential discourse.
While these texts are written from a Buddhist perspective, we’ll be exploring them through a predominantly secular lens.
Route: We’ll meet at 12:30 then set off from the Pear Tree Café, Battersea Park, at 12:45, and walk east along the Thames to finish at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
Distance: Around 15–16 km
What to bring: Water, snacks, and good footwear
Our walks and discussions are always free. If you’d like to support the running of the club (and help us cover the rising Meetup organiser fees), any contributions via our RBC Buy Me A Coffee Page are warmly appreciated.
Looking forward to walking with you again.
Until then, take care.
Ollie
