The Reason Project: Healthy Debate on Contentious Topics!

Americans have forgotten how to talk to each other when we disagree. And it's leading us toward a bloody civil war between "Left" and "Right"... if we don't change course.

The Reason Project is the course-correction! We model healthy debate between folks who passionately disagree.

Instead of name-calling, instead of harrumphing with indignation, we sit down and listen to our adversaries, and then respond logically.

The setup is simple: Two chairs, two persons, and a moderator to make sure both stay respectful... and logical. Whenever someone uses a logical fallacy (such as red herring, or affirming the consequent, or changing the subject, etc), the moderator gently brings you back to the path.

The goal of debate is not to prove oneself right. The goal of debate is to find the truth - whatever the truth is. Both participants are a team, working together to reach the truth.

The leftier you are... the rightier you are... the better!

All subjects are on the table. All. Whatever you care most about, it's legit. Let's talk about it!

Debates may be recorded (with all participants permission) to go up on the Youtube channel, so the world can see the demonstration of what healthy debating looks like.
