About us
A space for conversations about coming alive in a world we're not built for.
The Rebel's Playground — Cumberland Valley is the in-person side of the Rebel's Playground: conversations in library rooms and coffee shops, and online sessions for the nights you can't get out, for people in and around the Cumberland Valley who noticed that the life they built doesn't quite fit and want to do something about it.
It's built around Reimagining Rebellion: A Rebel's Guide to Coming Alive in a System That's Crushing You, a book about the four forces that push a life out of shape, and what happens when you stop adapting to them. You don't need to have read it. Most of what we do here is talk.
A lot of what we do is free. Some of it will be paid. My commitment to the group is that all of it is valuable. Here's how it works, plainly: this is where you'll hear about the book, the coaching, and the programs. You'll never be sold to in a room, and there's never an obligation. Come to what's useful and skip what isn't.
The Playground also has a private online room for people who want to go deeper. That's where the long work happens, and it costs money. Everything here is the front porch.
We talk about rebellion. You'll hear about offers. There's never an obligation.
Hosted by Gary Lougher, trauma recovery coach and author, who lives here.
