Reclaiming Your Power. For People Who Feel Everything
Details
Life can feel overstimulating if you are someone who feels everything. It may seem like feeling everything is a curse because it can be draining and disorienting to live in a world with so much sensory overload.
Many people who feel this way try to fix themselves into not feeling so much, and others just hide from the world, thinking they don't belong. Yet it is those who feel everything and are sensitive that the world needs most right now.
This group is about learning to see deep feeling in a new and powerful way. To connect you to your power and to connect you to others just like you. It's about learning to live in the world on your own terms, without trying to fix yourself or hide yourself.
What happens each week:
I introduce a topic that helps you see your sensitivity differently. Things like:
- Why sensitivity is a gift, not a flaw
- Why the world needs more people who feel everything
- How to understand your own unique sensitivity
- Learning to live on your own terms instead of hiding from the world
Then we open up the conversation. You can share what's coming up for you, ask questions, or just listen. This is a community where you don't have to dim yourself down.
We end with perspectives and tools that help you walk through the world empowered instead of exhausted.
This group is for you if:
- You've been told you're "too sensitive" your whole life
- You absorb other people's emotions and it drains you
- You've been trying to fix yourself or hide from the world
- You're ready to stop apologizing for how deeply you feel
- You want to connect with others who understand what it's like to feel everything
A few things to know:
- Camera off is completely fine
- You don't have to speak if you don't want to
- There's no pressure to have it figured out
About me:
I'm Carol. I've spent more than 20 years working with individuals and groups in mental-health and recovery settings. I've taught in psychiatric wards, facilitated programs in drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, and volunteered with the Crisis Centre supporting people during moments of acute emotional strain. I've also lived as a deeply sensitive person in a world that doesn't always make space for that.
What I've learned is that sensitivity is a gift that we need to start reclaiming. My approach is about helping you see your strengths so you can stop hiding and start living on your own terms.
