What we’re about

The Reworlding Circle is an open humanities colloquium for a new generation.

We use myth and story—from video games, films, and world cultures—as shared symbols for exploring the deeper questions of history, philosophy, and spiritual life today.

You don’t need a degree or background in philosophy. You just need curiosity and the desire to think, feel, and imagine together. We’ll meet through a mix of relaxed Zoom discussions and in-person “walking seminars” around Chicago—spaces for genuine conversation about the worlds we live in and the ones we want to create.

Each gathering connects pop-culture myths (like the Assassin’s Creed series) to themes such as:
• historical consciousness and belonging
• love, freedom, and despair
• language, culture, and symbolic “re-worlding”
• healing the body, mind, and society through new ways of seeing

Our goal is to cultivate a living mythos for our time—a way of rediscovering meaning, trust, and community in a fractured age. It’s part salon, part spiritual workshop, part walk with friends.

All are welcome: students, autodidacts, educators, artists, and anyone who feels “in-between” religion, academia, and everyday life. Come as you are; bring your curiosity and your questions.
