Bring your laptop and tackle some fun challenges

Hi all,

We are very excited to host our first Rosebank Code War event. The outline of the evening is as follows:

18:00 - 18:30 Introduction and rules

18:30 - 20:30 Solve the problems as best you can

20:30- 21:30 Present and judge solutions

Please bring your laptop so that you can code up your solutions to the problems. The problems and test cases will be made available on a GitHub repo, so please make sure you have a GitHub account as well. As this is the first event we will not be too formal about which programming language you use or whether teams are allowed. Trying to find answers to the problems, as well as learning how others have attempted the questions, will be the main purpose of the evening.

Pizza and snacks will be provided for free, but for those that find they need more sustenance or variety, several fast food restaurants are within easy walking distance of the office. Two takealot vouchers of R500 and R250 will be up for grabs. Given that it may be difficult to judge objectively across languages and styles, the awards will go the most elegant or novel solution as determined by the judges and yourselves.

The OPSI offices are on the third floor of Cradock Square, which is the building next to Game. Parking can found in the Rosebank Zone parking off Oxford Street or the parking areas off Cradock Ave.
