June Fort Lauderdale Lightsaber Practice (SECOND SUNDAY)

***While normally we meet on the First Sunday of every month, this month has been adjusted to the Second Sunday***

Come join our open practice, designed for both beginners and experienced practitioners who want to build their skills and have a blast wielding a lightsaber!

Our meets include warmups and stretching, real sword skills and techniques classes, practice drills and sequences, combat games, and open sparring. Our group offers a friendly and supportive environment where you can develop your proficiency, improve timing and coordination, and engage in safe sparring sessions with fellow saber enthusiasts.

Location is Guildhall Anime & Game Lounge, 3pm to 6pm

3:00 - 3:20 | Stretches & Review - Start with dynamic stretches and a quick review of the previous session's key points to get everyone warmed up and focused.

3:20 - 3:40 | Warm-Up - Dive into retention drills and exercises from the previous lesson to reinforce skills and muscle memory.

3:40 - 4:15 | New Lesson - Explore fresh techniques, tactics, or forms. This segment will focus on expanding your skillset and applying it in practical scenarios.

4:15 - 4:45 | Gear Up for Open Spar & Games - Strap on your gear and get ready for live sparring, or combat games like King of the Hill! Use this time to put theory into practice and refine your movements.

4:45 - 5:15 | Lightsaber Dueling - Put it all together and match up with a friend for a real armored Lightsaber duel, directed or self-called, testing your skills in a competitive yet supportive environment.

5:15 | Clean-Up & Circle-Up - Help clean the area and gather in a circle for final thoughts, feedback, and camaraderie.

Bring hydration and a positive mindset, and wear light exercise clothing and closed-toed athletic shoes with non-marking soles.

New to our club?
You will not need any equipment your first few times coming to practice. We have loaner sabers and protective gear you can borrow until you get your own.
At your first practice you will be required to fill out the TSL Hold Harmless Agreement.
