Food Forests: Building a Food-Producing Ecosystem

Details

Learn what a food forest is, how to design one, or what plants are good options in the St. Louis region. Explore ways you can create a more sustainable ecosystem in your orchard or food forest planting. The plants discussed will include commonly and less commonly known plants that we have found to grow well and have good flavor. The concepts discussed can be used to design a food forest from scratch or to modify an existing planting to increase its diversity. This class is in partnership with the St. Louis County Library. A recording of this virtual program will be posted to the library's YouTube channel within three business days.
