Birding at El Corazon Park

Details

This is a very easy 1 mile walk out and 1 mile back discovering the birds along the Garrison Creek and the open spaces. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat & bring water. Don’t forget your binoculars. I’ll have a scope. At this time of year we should see Yellow-breasted Chats, Black-headed and Blue Grosbeaks, woodpeckers, towhees, California Thrashers, all kinds of Raptors. Some marsh birds are always a possibility.Directions: From the intersection of El Camino Real and Oceanside Blvd., go east on Oceanside Blvd., turn left (north) into the first gate. Park to the left.
From the East: take the El Camino exit from the 78. Turn right. At Oceanside Blvd (down the big hill and after RR tracks) turn right and get into left lane immediately. The driveway is the first left on Oceanside Blvd.
Leader: Denise Riddle (driddle1855@att.net) 3210 Oceanside Blvd.
