Trail run or jog

This meetup is not about distance or speed. It's about time - you go out at ANY speed YOU want for a designated time (usually 60 minutes), then you turn around and come back. That way everyone usually finishes at about the same time no matter what pace. If you crawl for an hour, then turn around and crawl back, you will still finish at exactly the same place and time as someone who sprints for an hour, then turns around and sprints back. No need to worry about how "fast" or "slow" you are (or think you are).
Stretch and warm up at 7:15. Just before the start, our group leader will explain how many minutes to go out before turning around (usually 60 minutes). Please bring a watch so you can turn back at the designated time. If you choose to go longer or turn around sooner, please let someone know so the search & rescue team doesn't get called. Afterwards, there will be a cooler full of free drinks for everyone to share.
WE VISIT A DIFFERENT TRAIL EVERY WEEK!
DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED AFTERWARDS!

WHAT TO BRING: something to drink for yourself during the hike/jog, sunglasses, sunscreen, perhaps a hat, trail shoes or shoes that can get dirty, a watch or a stopwatch so you know when it's time to turn around, your iPod if you have nothing to contribute to the conversation, maybe a small camera if you are into spectacular scenery shots, and an adventurous attitude!
NOTE: this meetup is in conjunction with the Santa Monica Mountain Goats group.
There will usually be approximately 15 or more other runners and hikers there from that group and they welcome new people!
