The Theater Artists Studio is a community theater that produces high quality shows, and some of the members have been on Broadway! On this evening, it is a FREE script reading. You can get your own optional ticket, it is by donation. You can do this on their web page, or can pay at the door with a small donation. Or, just free.

Before the performance, we are going to eat FIRST at a nearby Mexican favorite restaurant. (Julio G. on Tatum.) The performance starts at 7 PM.

PLOT: The two sisters, Ava and Margo, a family friend, Alice, and Ena, Alice’s mother, sit at a table in Margo’s apartment. Several demitasse cups are on the table. Ena, who came to America with Alice after fleeing the Armenian massacre, is The Fortune Teller. Ava doesn’t believe in fortune telling but is frustrated with her love life and wants to know if a man exists for her. Her fortune takes a dark turn and Ava is confused by her reading.
NOTE: The Studio's FIRST LOOK program is an opportunity for our audiences to participate in the development of new theater. This series of live play readings is a favorite of our members and friends from the general public. Participation is absolutely free to all who would like to join us. You can stick around after the reading for a discussion with the playwright, director, actors and the audience.
