September is National Sewing Month!

Details
After I decided to make September my personal sewing month this year, I remembered that September is actually the National Sewing Month. So any sewing organization you belong to is likely to have events that you could join to reach out to the public to let people know there are still garment and quilter sewists around!
Also, I just discovered a sub-Reddit of Visible Mending here, and spent a mere (!) half hour admiring people's ingenuity, thrift, skill, and spirit of adventure. Check it out, you might enjoy it.
I hope you can join us. Having company always helps move a project forward, not only because it's nice to have company, but because you can get some encouragement and cheer-leading for yourself and what you've accomplished so far. I hope you can join us as we gather to share some sewing time together and chat about sewing, our pets, our travels, movies, concerts, books, etc.
These monthly gatherings are a chance for us all to chat, or not, and check out each other's progress while it goes on, or not, and see what's happening in another room where we are not, all while we're actually sewing or hand stitching or cutting out a pattern, or sewing on buttons or crocheting, or knitting, or whatever, in our own rooms.
For those of us who find actually sewing a challenge of some kind, we can get instant feedback, encouragement, questions answered, etc., and actually get something accomplished (yay!) in pleasant company.
As always, if you RSVP as a "yes" and then realize that you can't make it after all, please update your attendance on this site so that we know not to expect you. Thanks.
I hope to see you there
