What we’re about
This group is exclusively for nonreligious people—atheists, agnostics, atheist agnostics, humanists, skeptics, and other freethinkers—who want to study the Bible strictly as literature, politics, history, and culture. We approach the text from a secular standpoint, without belief in the supernatural. Our focus includes biblical literacy, critical thinking, rational inquiry, skepticism, and academic analysis of scripture. We also explore how the Bible has been used—and misused—by Christian nationalists, evangelicals, fundamentalists, and other conservative Christians to implement harmful political agendas.
