No, this isn't a group dedicated to talking about Seinfeld episodes. I'm sure there might be a group out there for that. In a city so transient, it's difficult for DCers, particularly those who are single and older, to find genuine people with the desire for human connection who are committed to forming long-lasting friendships. My goal is to select and manage a reasonable number of unique individuals willing to be part of their own "Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer" Core 4 and the occasional enjoyment of other members of this group as their side characters. There will be some events to bring all of us together to create a feeling of community.
In a city like DC, it's always great to have three others by your side. It's a plus to encourage face-to-face interactions and a challenge to interact with others who might have completely different personality types. If you are willing to embrace randomness, commit to a weekly hangout with your core group, keep up with members of your core group regularly and attend some group gatherings from time to time, this might be the meetup for you!
