Curious Coffee: Rebels & Reform
Details
Week Three of “From Petticoats to Power” is all about Rebels & Reform — the women who refused to stay in the drawing room and stepped into education, medicine, and public life.
We’ll meet the pioneers who demanded more than “a woman’s place” and left their mark on science, reform, and social justice.
We’ll be talking about:
• Florence Nightingale and the fight to professionalise nursing.
• Josephine Butler and her campaigns for women’s rights.
• The first women at Oxford & Cambridge — breaking into higher education.
