What we’re about

Did you know that in 2021 nearly 70% of American adults reported consuming alcohol, or that in 2016 the alcohol industry spent 2.3 billion dollars on advertising and marketing in the U.S. alone? Alcohol, which, has been called a "ritualistic superfood," is so prevalent in our society that if you make the decision to stop drinking you're met with questions of why, peer pressure, or stigmas.

That's why I created this group - for anyone who wants to not feel so alone in their decision to break with social convention and be a non-drinker. Others are also on board with this sober movement, with only 54% of Americans in 2025 (a record low) reporting that they consume alcohol. So whether you are sober-curious, working through addiction, questioning the role of alcohol in your life, keeping up with sobriety, or just don't care for alcohol, this is the place for you.

This group will look to hold social gatherings without the pressures of doing so under the influence of alcohol. It could be anything from happy hour, to sporting events, to yoga, to book studies, to cooking class. The idea is to explore new (or old) hobbies and meet new friends while avoiding alcohol as a social crutch. So if you're looking to have fun and make new friends, sans alcohol, this is the group for you.
