If you want to find a sense of community, join The Social Book Club.
We meet up on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month at different restaurants to discuss books and have conversations. And you get a new hard copy book to take home and read every month.

Membership Options
- The annual subscription for The Social Book Club is 3,500 KES, paid once every 12 months.
What Happens After You Register?
- Once your payment is confirmed, we’ll email you a registration form to complete your details so we can assign you to a suitable group.
Your Book Club Journey
- After reading your first book, you’ll attend your first meet-up.
- All book club meet-ups are on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month.
- Here, you’ll be introduced to your fellow book club members based on your registration details.
- During the meet-up, you’ll discuss the book, have conversations as you get to know each other, and then receive a new book to read until the next event.
Monthly Meet-Up Fee
The monthly meet-up cost is 1,500 KES, which includes:- Food (A full meal)
- A book swap (hard copy)
July Book Club Meet-Up
- Our next book club meet-up is on Saturday, 5th July, and Sunday, 7th July from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Waka Waka restaurant in Karen.
- After you've become a book club member, the monthly meet-up cost is 1,500 KES, inclusive of lunch and a new book to take home and read for March.
Our July book club meet-up will include a buffet with the following options:
- Chicken
- Beef
- Plain rice
- Chapati/potatoes
- Greens
- Kachumbari
Which Books Are We Reading and Discussing?
- 70% of the books we'll be discussing at the book club are African Literature books.
- 30% of the books are International best-seller novels.
