VOTER REGISTRATION

I wanted to create an "event" that would remind us all to register to vote, and spell out some other ways we can get involved in voter registration efforts. If you're already registered, then RSVP. If you aren't registered, you can find out how to register here at https://vote.gov/ and then you should RSVP!

The deadline to register to vote in the midterms in New York is October 12. Since most of you live in New York, that's why the 12th is the date of this "event." If you live in another state, you can look up the deadline here: https://www.vote.org/voter-registration-deadlines/.

Besides registering ourselves, there are many ways we can get involved.
I don't know about you, but I'm looking to do everything I possibly can as a citizen to make my voice heard.

One thing we can do is send out a series of personalized emails to our friends around the country encouraging them to register to vote. You could include a link to vote.gov, which is a helpful tool in navigating that process.

Another way we can get involved is volunteer. I'd check out opportunities at Rock the Vote--https://www.rockthevote.org/action-center/.
