What we’re about
Soft Society is a space for gentle rebellion. A place to slow down, connect, and remember what matters. We gather for playful, meaningful moments that bring us back to ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
From slow bike rides to creative workshops, and quiet rituals to joyful meetups, everything we do is rooted in presence, kindness, and a sense of wonder.
It’s for anyone who’s tired of the rush, craving connection, or simply curious about a different pace of life.
You don’t have to be “into” anything. You just have to show up, as you are.
Here, softness is your superpower. Welcome to a community where slowing down is an act of courage, and kindness is the foundation for everything we do.

☀️What to expect?
Time: 10:30 - 14:30
Date: 27 July
Distance: 38 km📍 Full route can be found here.
We will start from this location. For exact meeting point image, click here. We'll kick things off with a few introductions and a chance to get to know each other. Then we’ll head out through the city, gradually leaving the urban buzz behind as we make our way toward the outskirts and on to Darmstadt.
Along the way, we’ll pass right by Neu-Isenburg, ride through the charming old town of Dreieichenhain, and visit the historic Burg Hayn. The route takes us through plenty of forested paths, offering shade and scenic views, with breaks along the way to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Our destination is the lake near Oberwaldhaus in Darmstadt, where we can take a longer rest. From there, we'll continue through a beautiful route that covers some of Darmstadt’s must-see landmarks, eventually ending our ride at Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof.
From Darmstadt, we’ll take a short 17-minute train ride back to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. If you don’t have a Deutschlandticket, a one-way train ticket costs around €11.
For anyone who wants to hang out afterwards, we can grab a drink by the Main and wind down the day together. 🍻
At any point, please feel free to turn around or hop on a train home. This is a no pressure group.
The purpose is for this to be a relaxed ride out of the city to explore green paths, quiet corners, and open skies. Rides will be easy-paced and are focussed on connection.
We're about enjoying the journey, not racing to the destination. Expect a friendly group, plenty of space to chat, moments to pause and take it all in, and a shared appreciation for simple joys.
☀️ Who should join?
You don’t need to be a “serious cyclist” to come along. This group is for:
- Friendly, curious people who enjoy being outdoors
- Anyone who feels more alive in nature
- Folks who value community over competition
☀️ What to bring?
- A working bike (city, gravel, vintage, e-bike – all welcome)
- Water and snacks
Some routes may be more gravel, other times it will be smooth road. There is no way for us to know ahead of the trip.
P.S This is a free event. Donations are welcome and they'll go towards covering the costs to have a meetup account. Anything we receive over and above that amount will be donated to charity ❤️
This is a friendly, informal group, so you ride at your own risk. Please make sure your bike’s in good shape and that you’re comfortable on the road. We’re not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or lost items but we’ll do our best to look out for each other along the way!
We can't wait to see you there!
