The Getty Villa

Details
If you saw "Trust," you saw J. Paul Getty's model of what would become the Getty Villa. The historic collection includes Greek art from the Neolithic and Bronze Age—including some of the oldest and rarest objects in the collection—to the Hellenistic period, when the Greeks developed the first fully naturalistic vision of the human figure. The journey continues on the second floor with sculpture, jewelry, glassware, mummy portraits, and many other works of art from the Roman Empire.
There are also four gardens, beautiful architecture (both inside and out), a cafe and a gift shop.
We will meet inside the entrance to the museum at 10:30, and sign up to take the "Collection Highlights" tour at 11. After the tour we'll have a bite, and then take time to explore.
Admission is free, but parking is $15 per car, so please try to arrange car pools in the comments.
Please note, it's a bit of a walk from the parking lot into the museum, so it's safest to plan to arrive at the parking lot no later than 10:15. Also, you MUST obtain a free ticket at this URL in advance in order to enter the Villa: http://tickets.getty.edu/calendar/2018-08-04
