We’re back with another inspiring evening of creativity, collaboration, and career-building at the Songwriting Collective IMRO Workshop, happening on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, from 6PM to 10PM in the IMRO Building.
This time, we’re diving headfirst into a topic every songwriter has faced at some point:

> with special guest speaker Rob MacLeod
Whether you’re stuck in a rut or simply want to keep your writing energy sharp, Rob will be sharing powerful ways to keep your creativity flowing. This includes time-tested writing strategies, fresh prompt-based techniques, collaboration hacks, and how modern tools like ChatGPT can supercharge your songwriting workflow—without replacing your artistry.
Rob brings years of experience in mentoring artists and helping independent musicians stay inspired, focused, and productive in their writing process. Expect real-life insights, practical takeaways, and a few mindset shifts that could completely change how you approach your next song.
After the talk, as always, we’ll break into songwriting groups where you’ll get a chance to co-write with fellow attendees, putting what you’ve just learned into action. This hands-on session is at the heart of the Songwriting Collective—collaborating, experimenting, and pushing yourself to write in ways you might not normally try.
🎤 To finish the night, each group will present their freshly written song, with a supportive audience of fellow songwriters. No pressure—just good vibes, great music, and a chance to share what you’ve created.
