We’re delighted to announce our next Songwriting Collective Workshop at the IMRO Building on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, starting at 6PM. These evenings are all about sparking creativity, connecting with other writers, and learning practical skills that can take your songwriting to the next level.
This month, we’re thrilled to feature Rob MacLeod, who will be giving a special talk on:

> “The Art of Collaboration: How Writing With Others Can Transform Your Sound”

Collaboration is one of the most powerful tools a songwriter can use. Rob will explore how co-writing can push you out of your comfort zone, spark fresh ideas, and help you create songs you never would have written on your own. From practical strategies for making a co-write productive, to real-world examples of creative breakthroughs, Rob will share insights that every songwriter can use—whether you’ve collaborated before or are completely new to it.
After the talk, we’ll break into songwriting groups, giving you the chance to put these ideas into action straight away. You’ll work with fellow songwriters to write a brand-new piece on the night, experiencing the magic of collaboration first-hand.
To close the evening, each group will have the opportunity to present their finished song to the room in a supportive, encouraging atmosphere. This is always one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of the workshop—hearing what can be created in just a short space of time when writers come together.
