Have you always wanted to write a song but didn't know where to start? Or maybe you've started songs, but have never been able to finish them?
In this small-group workshop, you'll write (or significantly develop) a complete song in a single session, with guidance from a professional songwriter with success both at radio and in the charts.
This is a hands-on creative session, in which I guide you through the real process used by working songwriters,
whether writing individually or collaborating. You'll not only learn to write melody (with a clear distinction between verse and chorus), but also to write lyrics that reflect your experience.
About me: I'm a British singer songwriter based in Paris. I've written and released songs professionally, collaborated with writers behind multimillion selling records and US# 1 singles, such as David Steele from Fine Young Cannibals, for the critically acclaimed album 'Things Change' (Fried). In the UK, I've had four Top 40 hits, including the Top 10 song 'The Face' with the band I formed ('And Why Not', signed to Island Records). To name a few more credits, I wrote the first two singles for The Voice contestant Eli Cripps, wrote and performed lead vocals on the song 'A Time for' for the band Lack of Afro, and recently wrote the chorus for the song 'Be Mighty' with rapper sticman from the legendary hip hop group Dead Prez. I've worked with Sony Records, Warner Brothers, London Records, to name a few.
