Vocal Performance Workshop

Details
Join singer/songwriter Bruce Harrott for two hours packed with practical tips and a variety of tools to help you become a better performer! Bruce is also co-host of Song Talk Radio (https://songtalk.ca), where three guys talk to a different songwriter every week about writing songs.
During the Vocal Performance Workshop, Bruce will coach participants on how to deliver a memorable live performance. Bruce will cover and demonstrate topics such as:
- Posture
- Breathing
- Standing vs. sitting
- Eye contact with audience
- What to say between songs
- Vocal warm up
- Vocal variation (pitch, tone, etc)
- Emotional commitment to a song
- Articulation and pronunciation
- Performing a song for maximum impact
Each participant will have the opportunity to perform part of a song and get immediate, constructive feedback from Bruce. If you'd like to participate in this way, please bring your guitar, use Neel's keyboard (which will be set up in the room), or bring an instrumental only track on your phone, memory stick, or computer.
You can perform an original or cover song. In any case, please bring a copy of your lyrics for Bruce to follow along.
No prior performance experience is necessary, and even experienced performers will get something out of this workshop.
For this meetup, a pre-payment of $15 will be required. Pay securely via PayPal. Only pre-paid members will be allowed to attend the workshop. If you must cancel, you may send a substitute. No-shows will not receive a refund.
