### The Space to Be — February Reflections
February in Maine is a quiet threshold.
The days are still cold and inward, yet the light is beginning to return. It’s a time when the body hasn’t fully turned toward movement — but something inside is stirring.
At our recent The Space to Be gathering, we began by landing. We set down what we were carrying — the mental noise, the emotional weight, the pull of the outside world — and allowed the nervous system to settle.
We opened together, creating a shared sense of grounding and presence.
From there, the focus was simple: listening.
Listening to the body.
Listening to breath.
Listening to what has been asking for attention beneath the surface.
This kind of listening is especially important right now. February isn’t about pushing forward — it’s about stabilizing. When we slow down enough to feel where we actually are, we prepare ourselves to move with more clarity and ease as the days lengthen.
In The Space to Be, we practice separating our inner rhythm from outside expectation. We create time to tune in, regulate, and reconnect — without pressure to perform or change.
### Next Gathering — Tuesday, February 17
Our next gathering continues this seasonal arc, focusing on stabilizing and preparing for gentle movement, while staying rooted in embodiment and listening.
Each session includes an invitation:
- time to unload what you’re carrying
- grounding, yoga-like movement
- guided meditation
- and space to simply be
Whether you’re returning or joining for the first time, you’re welcome.
