The very first Spicy Play Club board games meetup! The Spicy Play Club is a social group for sex positive gaming enthusiasts to meet, learn, play and explore. Our Board Game events are the perfect stress free way to meet people in the community, relax and play some board games from The Collectivist's freely available games library, or bring your own.
Are you a Spicy Gamer?
If you're over 18, love games, want to meet new people and identify as LGBTQIA+/Poly or ENM/Kinky/SW or are curious/an ally to any of the above we would love to meet you. Join our Discord server at https://discord.gg/F2QzgzhsQc and come to one of our friendly board game meetups to start making new friends!
FAQ:
Is this some sort of sex party?
No. Our board game meetups are just a bunch of cool people playing board games at a board game cafe, there's no sexual activity, but people may have conversations about sex positive topics.
Our intention is to organise adult parties for community members further down the road but those will be at entirely different venues and have their own access requirements.
Is there a dress code?
No. It's a public space so regular streetwear is fine, subtle fetwear such as a collar is fine, but if you wouldn't wear it on the train it's probably not a good idea.
What sort of games will there be?
Our focus is on fun, casual, light to mid-weight board games that people can learn and play relatively easily while still being able to chat. Some examples are games like Codenames, Splendour, Ticket to Ride, Anomia, or Wavelength. Feel free to bring anything you want, but maybe keep the heavy euro games for another time. you can also see what's in the Collectivist's library at their website: https://thecollectivist.store/
Can we bring adult board games?
Obviously this is not a venue for Strip Poker or Spin The Bottle, but something like Codenames: After Dark is fine. Remember that it's a public venue and there may be children present, although we are an 18 plus community.
I'm not sure if I count as "Sex Positive"?
That's totally fine! The Spicy Play Club is designed to be a way for people in the LGBT, Kink and Swing communities to meet but it's also a way for people who are new to those communities to learn more about them from people who are already involved. If you're curious about any of it or just want to meet fun open minded people you're very welcome to come.
Is it called The Spicy Play Club because it's for Neurospicy people?
Yes! Thanks so much for noticing! The Sex Positive community is full of amazing neurospicy people and The Spicy Play Club strives to be a safe and supportive place for everyone. If you have any issues or concerns feel free to ask in the Discord server or DM me.
How many people will be there?
This is our very first Board Game meetup and we've chosen a small venue, we're hoping for 10-15 people as a starting point but if we don't have at least 10 RSVPs we'll just push the date back. Our focus is on quality over quantity when it comes to our community.
