Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of mystery and exploration as The Spirit & Starlight Society travels to Marfa, Texas, to investigate the legendary Marfa Lights! We’ll also embark on a daytime excursion to the stunning Big Bend National Park, where whispers of paranormal tales echo through the rugged desert landscape.

The Marfa Lights Phenomenon

For over a century, mysterious orbs of light have danced across the plains near Marfa. Witnesses describe these glowing spheres as red, blue, yellow, or white, flickering and darting unpredictably over the desert horizon. First documented by settlers in the late 1800s, the lights have since attracted paranormal researchers, academics, scientists, and curious visitors.

Despite numerous studies, there is no definitive explanation. Some attribute the lights to car headlights or atmospheric phenomena, while others believe they are connected to supernatural or otherworldly energy. This is our chance to seek answers firsthand! We’ll conduct a night investigation with cameras, EMF meters, and other tools to document any sightings. (Please bring your own!)

Daytime Excursion to Big Bend National Park

After our investigation, we’ll take a breathtaking drive to Big Bend National Park, where dramatic canyons, desert plains, and ancient river bends create one of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in Texas.

But Big Bend isn’t just about natural beauty; it’s also steeped in eerie tales and unexplained phenomena. Rangers and visitors have reported disembodied voices, shadowy figures, and ghostly lights along the Chisos Mountains and the Rio Grande. Native American legends speak of spiritual guardians of the land, and abandoned ranches in the area are said to carry echoes of their past inhabitants.

We’ll enjoy a guided hike (suitable for most fitness levels) and take in the natural wonders while keeping our senses open for any unexplained encounters.
