Chinese conversation practice
Details
We aim to meet with people in St. Louis to practice speaking Chinese, once a week (or more).
**Please let me know if going or if running late👍.
Please prepare your Intro in Chinese, such as using vocabulary you want to build up.
Ice breaker Q&A (so you can prepare your answers):
- various fun questions to ask each attendee to ask and answer in Mandarin.
Activities: (10min) Share & Catch-up - share anything new with yourself, or doing or heard or seen recently, shared in Chinese. If new to the group or just to practice, try different ways to intro yourself to the group in Chinese.
(20min) Ice-breaker Q&A - fun and interesting questions members take turns translating and answering in Chinese to the group. Then everyone gets time to think and give their response in Chinese.
(20min) Practice with a Topic
- to use the same vocabulary words for that week to be prepared beforehand into sentences in Mandarin.
Expectations:
a. Please participate as much as you can in Chinese to benefit from this group and to have fun.
b. Please be respectful to everyone. Allow everyone to get a chance to answer for all activities for that meet. That is the point of the meeting.
c. Please ask questions to see if the group knows a word of phrase you want to know in Chinese.
