Ali has 20 years of experience partnering with leaders across industries including healthcare and life sciences, advanced manufacturing, technology, and professional services. Ali specializes in executive and top team coaching to help senior leaders achieve their full potential, instill operational and organizational resilience, and create the conditions for sustainable and socially responsible growth. She has supported hundreds of leaders and dozens of top teams in high-stakes contexts including clashes in the C-suite, startup founders navigating hypergrowth, private equity firms questioning the strategic decision-making capabilities of leaders in their portfolio companies, and contentious transitions in closely held businesses. Ali is committed to honoring her clients’ identities and building upon her clients’ wealth of knowledge, experience, and intuition. Her clients often comment on the warmth and peace she exudes and appreciate how her coaching celebrates their strengths while inspiring them to expand how they are who they are.

Career Background
Ali began her career as a psychology professor. She founded a university research lab focused on feedback for peak performance and published her research in high-impact outlets including the Journal of Management. Upon receiving tenure and promotion, Ali pivoted from academia to management consulting and global corporate leadership roles with John Deere (DE) and the technology unicorn BetterUp. She launched her coaching and facilitation practice Reflexion Group in 2022 and is a founding coach within MIT xPRO’s Chief Operating Officer program. Her co-authored textbook Industrial/Organizational Psychology: Understanding the Workplace is now available from Macmillan Learning.

Education and Certifications
Ali holds a PhD and MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from The University of Akron and a BA in Psychology (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Butler University. She received her executive coaching certification through Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership, is certified at the PCC level by the International Coaching Federation, and has completed coursework in mindfulness-based stress reduction. She is proficient in many evidence-based assessments including the Leader Network Diagnostic, a powerful way for leaders and teams to develop and improve business outcomes.
