Stephen King Book Club: Misery

Our next read is Misery! As we head into the colder months, we thought our next SK book should feature a cold-winter setting. SK almost published Misery under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, but after being outed, it was published under Stephen King. Misery is a psychological horror novel published in 1987. Just like in The Dark Half, our November read, one of Misery's main characters is an author named Paul Sheldon, and the other character is Annie Wilkes, a former nurse and Paul's number one fan. As a nurse, I question the care plan Annie has in mind for Paul. I just found out that Annie lives in Sidewinder, Colorado. Siderwinder is the closest town to the Overlook Hotel in The Shining.
