Stephen King Book Club: Doctor Sleep

Our next read is Doctor Sleep. It seemed fitting, after reading The Shining, to continue Danny's storyline. SK has stated in interviews that the number one question from fans was what he thought happened to Danny, and at some point, he posted a poll asking which book he should write next, the sequel to The Shining or a Dark Tower novel. The sequel won. Doctor Sleep, written in 2013, is the sequel to The Shining, written in 1977.

Join us as we find out what happened to Danny now that he is all grown up, learn why Dan is called Doctor Sleep, and why he wants to protect Abra, a girl who has the brightest Shine ever, from a group called The True Knot.
