Manchester Mastering the Art of Marionette Magic

We are excited to bring our community together for an afternoon focused on the craft and performance of marionettes. Whether you have been building and operating string puppets for years or are just starting to take an interest in the mechanics of movement, this is an opportunity to share techniques, troubleshoot tricky setups, and learn from one another in a relaxed, informal setting.

The session will be a mix of practical demonstration and open conversation. We will spend some time discussing weight distribution, string tension, and how to give a puppet a sense of personality, followed by a collaborative practice session. This is for anyone in the Manchester area who enjoys the patience and precision required for this art form and wants to connect with others who share the interest. Please let us know if you can make it by clicking the RSVP button so we can get an idea of the numbers for the room.
