About us

The Swing Studies and Social Club is a space for dancers who want to move beyond the basics and dive deeper into the mechanics and history of swing dancing. Whether you are a dedicated Lindy Hopper or someone interested in exploring various vernacular jazz styles, this group is intended for those who enjoy breaking down footwork, musicality, and connection in a collaborative, low-pressure setting. We believe that improving your dance is most effective when you have a community to share ideas with and troubleshoot common challenges alongside.

We meet regularly to review technique, discuss the evolution of the dance, and occasionally host informal social sessions where we can put our practice into action. This is not a formal class or a rigid workshop, but rather a collective effort to grow as dancers while enjoying the music that defines the genre. If you are looking for a place to refine your craft, share what you have learned, and connect with other local dancers who are equally invested in the art form, we would be happy to have you join us.
