Tired of social media echo chambers? Join the Sylvans, a friendly London debating group where we trade slogans for wisdom. We meet twice a month in the heart of Fleet Street to tackle today’s biggest issues - from the future of the NHS to the impact of digital IDs - all in a respectful, welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you're a seasoned orator or just want to listen and learn, you’re welcome here. No experience is required, and attendees are very welcome to simply observe. Come for the debate, stay for the diverse perspectives and leave with a deeper understanding of key issues.

All are welcome to attend without pre-registration - we have new joiners all the time, and no experience is required. Attendees are welcome to participate or simply observe. The event will take place at Ye Olde Cock Tavern, 22 Fleet Street, simply turn up at 6:45 for a 7pm start.
We will offer a hybrid online option for these longer debates. Please contact us to receive joining details.
If the maximum 10 attendees on Meetup become filled, you are welcome simply to join on the night without registering.
