For our third Table, we’ll explore a question that has become increasingly present in everyday life:
What makes us human?

If something can think, speak, and respond like us, what — if anything — remains uniquely human? Is it emotion, embodiment, memory, mortality, or something harder to name?

We’ll read a short excerpt in advance and spend the evening in open conversation. No academic or technical background is required — curiosity and attentiveness are enough.

Disagreement is welcome; respect is essential. This is not a lecture or a debate about technology. It’s a small, thoughtful conversation about ourselves — and how we understand what it means to be human.

A short reading (5–10 minutes) will be shared one week before we meet.
