What we’re about
Ever feel like you’re carrying the weight of explaining your existence in mostly white spaces? I’m starting a small, in-person group for Black women like us -whether that means microaggressions, cultural misunderstandings, awkward family moments, being the only one in the room, or just carrying the weight of explaining your existence over and over. Our mission is to create a safe, loving, and empowering space where we can process experiences, share strategies, celebrate wins, and refill our cups when the world feels draining. We’ll meet regularly in person to connect deeply, talk about real issues from work challenges to raising kids in multiracial families and swap resources like books, podcasts, and therapists that help us thrive. This is a space of confidentiality, growth, laughter, and affirmation. We are here to remind each other that we are not invisible, not in our marriages, not in our workplaces, not in our communities, not in the world. We are seen, we are valued, and our stories matter. We are not too much, never alone, and deeply worthy of joy, softness, and rest. Our presence is not a burden - it is a gift. Together, we will remind each other that our voices deserve to be heard, our boundaries deserve to be respected, and our lives deserve to be lived boldly and unapologetically.
