The Threat Modeling Meetup - London March 20th

Details

Hello everyone! We're super excited to announce the first ever Threat Modeling Meetup event on Wednesday March 20th hosted at the Kaluza London office near Notting Hill Gate :)

This isn't like most meetups - you won't be passively listening to speakers for most of the evening. Instead, this is an opportunity to spend quality time sharing ideas and having discussions with peers from a wide range of industries and backgrounds.

Who should attend?

Anyone interested in threat modeling! Whether you've been threat modeling for 15 years and have lots of knowledge to share, or you're just getting started and would like to see whether you're going about it the right way. We encourage participation from everyone, so you must have a genuine interest in threat modeling (sorry recruiters).

Do I have to be a security expert?

No, absolutely not! In fact, if you're a developer or scrum master or anything like that, we'd be especially love to have you at the meetup. Threat modeling is something that can be done by anyone and at any point in the software development lifecycle.

Got questions or something you want to discuss?

Let us know in the comments below and we'll add it to the suggested topics list.

What is threat modeling?

If you're not sure what exactly threat modeling is, check out this OWASP page: https://www.owasp.org/index.php/Application_Threat_Modeling

Ps. Yes, we know we're spelling modeling with one "L". No, it isn't a typo. We've adopted the American spelling because most English literature on the subject uses that spelling. But thanks for asking :)
