What we’re about
Welcome to The Toronto Friends of Classical Music
Are you ready to experience classical music and make new friends? You're in the right place then!
We will explore the Toronto classical music scene as well as periodically, other genres of music. We will discover exciting new and local talent, maybe even including YOU!
We will learn about music, composers, instruments, performers, history and terminology.
Make it a point to browse our Message Board for a wealth of information.
And don't forget to check our calendar for a list of events happening around the city. Here, you will find hosted events as well as listings of various kinds, (posted as NOTES), that you can attend on your own.
If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact myself or one of my assistant organizers, Richard or Amy.
So come on out and join the fun!
You'll discover many new friends along the journey.
Musically yours,
Glen Alan

Gilbert & Sullivan's Trial by Jury and H.M.S. Pinafore
St. St. Anne's Parish Hall, 651 Dufferin St.,, Toronto, ON, CASt. Anne's Music and Drama Society is performing a double-bill of Gilbert & Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore and Trial by Jury. Both performances are done with full staging, costumes and orchestra. Many performers are current students or alumni of U of T's music and opera programmes. See aspiring professional singers before they become famous, and get the G&S jokes from The Simpsons, Family Guy, Star Trek and many other shows and films that have referenced or parodied these plays!
Opening night tickets are $28.50 flat (= $27 + $1.50 ticket fee) for groups of four or more. Once we confirm attendance, I will arrange payment by cash or e-transfer. Although I can welcome you at the hall, I will be working backstage and unable to join you in the audience. Doors open about an hour before curtain.
Performances are at St. Anne's Parish Hall at 651 Dufferin. It is steps from the Dufferin and Dundas intersection, which receives regular bus and streetcar service. Parking is available from Gladstone Avenue to the east. If you want to make an evening of it, I can recommend restaurants in the area depending on your tastes and ability to travel.2 attendees
