Welcome to The Toronto Paddlers,

We are a group for urban and wilderness paddling adventurers. We organize paddling trips and adventures through busy waterways of Toronto and the quiet wilderness trails of Ontario and beyond.

What we do:
We organize small-group trips into mainly in GTA but also in Ontario’s lakes, rivers, and sometimes forest trails. Events include casual paddling, canoe tripping, backpacking, winter camping, and portaging.

Who should join:
This group is for people who are either experienced and capable in the kind of outdoor travel we do, or want to just enjoy some paddling trips in the GTA. If you enjoy casual paddling, portaging, or hiking under the stars then you’ll fit right in.

• Dues or Fees: There are no membership fees; any costs (like permits, rentals, or shared gear) to be decided and announced per event.
• Affiliation: This is an independent, non-commercial group of like minded adventurers with a shared passion for the outdoors whether it's a casual paddle in Toronto or a backcountry adventure

Participation in The Toronto Paddlers events is entirely at your own risk. Organizers, hosts, and group members are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, lost or damaged property, or other incidents that may occur before, during, or after the events.

Our activities may include hiking, paddling, cycling, running, overnight trips, and other indoor or outdoor events of varying pace, distance, and difficulty. Please ensure that you are physically prepared for the specific event you join, bring the appropriate gear, and remain aware of your surroundings at all times.

Events may take place in changing or challenging weather conditions and may be scheduled for, or extend partially or entirely into, low-light, nighttime, or overnight settings. Participants are responsible for checking forecasts, bringing appropriate lighting and gear, dressing suitably, and deciding whether to take part based on their comfort and safety.

The Toronto Paddlers Group may assist with travel coordination (e.g., carpool matching) as a courtesy to members. All transportation arrangements are made voluntarily between participants, and organizers assume no responsibility for drivers, passengers, vehicles, schedules, or incidents that occur before, during, or after travel.

Members who bring guests are fully responsible for informing them of this disclaimer and ensuring that their guests understand and accept these terms before participating.
