ART HISTORY: Each week focuses on one painter:
- Explore the life of the painter and connect personal experiences to their work. Consider the era in which the artist lived and how it influenced their art.
- Study art and culture across time and place & examine artworks as historical documents to understand societies, beliefs, politics, and economies.
- Interpret meaning beyond beauty, including the psychological and emotional aspects behind each piece. Ask why, how, and by whom each artwork was created. Explore the changing role and context of art throughout history.
- Time periods covered: Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, Impressionism, Post‑Impressionism, Cubism, Modern Art.
- These videos mix life stories, context, and explanations of works, helping us understand both who the artist was and why they created their art.
