THE PRELIMINARY ARTICLES

1. Peace treaties should be entered into in good faith.
2. Nations are not properties to be inherited or received as a gift.
3. No standing armies.
4. No national debt for war.
5. No state shall interfere in the governing of another state.
6. No atrocities that would make a peace treaty impossible.

THREE DEFINITIVE ARTICLES

1. Nations should be republic (right of state)
2. Nations should form a league of nations (right of nations)
3. Nations should allow visitors from other countries, and visitors to other countries should not exploit their hosts (cosmopolitan right).

FIRST SUPPLEMENT - Nature will guarantee a perpetual peace (but we may not like how it does that).
