Why do I ask that?

Because layering of complexity seems to be the nature of life. for example some combination of heat and chemicals developed the first Amino acids, RNA and eventually DNA. So here you have energy itself showing an inclination towards increasing complexity as you see it making pre-life out of what before was non living matter. Then this RNA, DNA, Aminos Acids, Fatty Molecules etc. come together somehow and form Cells. So you have these seperate things integrating into a cohesive whole i.e. the cell. Then you have groups of cells clustering together perhaps as a protection mechanism (also perhaps a single cell divided but failed to seperate). These groups of cells then integrated through communication/specialization and formed into a cohesive life form. Then These life forms became more complex through evolution? Now that we are at the form of a cohesive life form, say an ant, you see that groups of them can work together almost as if they are one entity e.g. ants in a colony reacting to an invader or building an ant hill as if they are one entity with one mind controlling their behavior, but it is just the ants engaging in specialization. This specialization is similar to that seen by a group of humans in an economy. No one person can build a computer, airplane, nuclear power plant, but comprehensively the economy as an entity can produce each of these things similar to ants building an ant hill. As life becomes more and more integrated it gets closer and closer to becoming One Entity. Over time with Technology (such as the printing press) humans have been becoming more connected with greater integration, communication and specialization. This is similar to what may have occured in the early cells that clustered together and started to act as cohesive entities and very similar to how you see ants in a colony act. Only here it is orders of magnitude higher. Now the question is AI the next major step in this integration? Is AI now making the integration of humanity through shared knowledge etc. so seamless that humans are integrating into a cohesive whole, perhaps some kind of a greater entity? Is this an incremental step in the process that has already been happening with society or is it a change?

Reddy and I (and sometimes Will) are hosting the following:

We have finished out series on Success, now we will have a few conversations related to AI:

But before that, the Zoom link will be posted shortly before the event. During the discussion, if you want to raise a point please raise your hand and you will have up to 3 minutes to speak. Once a speaker talks there will be a 5 minute period where anyone can follow up with a counter point, question, or continuing thought along the same line of thought (leave such comments to 1 minute). But do not begin a new train of thought unless you raise your hand. If you find yourself dominating the conversation please relax and give others a chance to join in.
