Silent Reading Meetup in Kichijoji

Need a nudge to finally start that book—or to keep turning pages, slowly but surely?
This is a low-pressure, introvert-friendly gathering for people who love books—and also love silence.
Bring your current read and all your introvert energy. We’ve got space for it.

This time, we’re meeting at a café called Coffee Kan (珈琲館), just a one-minute walk from the North Exit of Kichijoji Station.
It can be a little tricky to find, so please check Google Maps ahead of time.
The café is on the second floor of a building above Baskin-Robbins—you’ll see it right above the ice cream shop in the photo.

📘 Rough Schedule:
• 8:45–8:50 – Find a table
• 8:50–9:00 – Say hello and share what you're reading
• 9:00–9:40 – Quiet reading time together
• 9:40–10:00 – Short wrap-up chat
• 10:00–10:05 – Leave

📚 Book format: Anything goes—paper, digital, or audio
📖 Note: While the book club is usually nonfiction-focused, fiction is more than welcome at this silent reading meetup.
🗣️ Language: English (everyone is welcome, including non-native speakers)
📍 Where in the café:
We’ll try to get a table on the right-hand side, by the windows.
If a staff member asks how many are in your party when you enter, you can say something like:
"I’m meeting a friend", or in Japanese: 「待ち合わせしています」.
