You'll learn anything and everything pertaining to a fashion editorial shoot. The workshops would aim to deliver you a professional level knowledge. We'll cover everything on a typical fashion shoot and more – bringing the experience and knowledge I have gained from my own personal journey and industry experience.
The workshop would be mainly on Fashion or portrait shoots and Food photography shoots but can vary on other subjects as well, if members would want.
For food photography, everything from what lens to use, understanding of natural lights to studio light set ups (for splash photography or creative lighting) to styling of food in a way that looks right out of a award winning coffee table book would be covered.
For Fashion and portrait shoots, the locations we choose are the playground for the workshop – whether it’s shooting on location, in a whimsical location house, an industrial playground, a timeless mansion or in the studio. On set, we always work with professional models, wardrobe stylists and hair and make-up artists who are currently working in the industry; we feel this is an incredibly important asset for workshops to have working creatives who are passionate about the imagery they want to create.
What experience level do you need to join the workshop?
The workshops are open to all levels of photographers of any age – we only ask that you are engaged, willing to learn and have some basic knowledge of photography! 80% of the photographers in my workshops are amateur photographers or hobbyists so you’ll find it easy to fit into the group!
What does the schedule look like on the day of the workshop?
The schedule for each workshop day can vary – usually our day starts with an introduction and breakfast, followed by working on set, lunch and then continuing to shoot and review as the day ends. Our days usually start at 10AM and finish at 4PM. But each meetup would vary with the schedule according to the workshop.
The workshop attendee numbers are small and exclusive, which means we have time to focus on individuals and cater to every photographer’s needs; whether you are an amateur, an industry professional or even specialize in an entirely different field of photography altogether. We are sure that after the day winds up, you will leave with new ideas, knowledge and most of all – inspiration and guidance to put into your own practice.
